Run For All logoColor Me Rad 5k
Saturday 17th May 2014

Color Me Rad is a 5K that fires off in a blaze of colour bombs, colour cannons, colour mortars, and multi-toned courses that guarantee your outlook will be brighter, your boyfriend will be more affectionate, your boss will finally remember your name, the hair on your head will grow back and the hair on your back will fall out, and your grey outlook will turn green like a spring morning.

Historically, running has only been acceptable when trying to escape the law, personal responsibility, the truth, and grizzly bears.

Instead of running FROM something, get ready to run FOR something at this year's Color Me Rad. Run for the hell of it.

Trailblazer LogoTrailblazer LogoMillion Steps Challenge
Sunday 6th July 2014

Well we smashed it! We aimed for 1,000,000 and got 1,219,786. The day was a massive success with the weather turning out beautiful. We had families enjoying their picnics and children playing in the park. But best of all was the enthusiasm of all our runners. From children as young as 18mths, Little Hiccup families all the way up to Boxers and some very fit people indeed - everyone gave it their absolute best.

With many thanks to everyone involved organising the day: Antony 'Trailblazer' Newby from Trailblazer Bootcamps who first dared to dream that this was indeed possible, Vince Heckman from Thermo Casa who very kindly purchased a buggy for us, John H Stracey for presenting it and donating a fantastic collage of his boxing career to be auctioned by Brendan O'Connor who helped make this day possible, the Little Hiccups Committee and Conquerors for helping out and to everyone who ran the steps, raised money and felt the pain the next day! And of course to our amazing sponsors Simpson Millar Solicitors. And hopefully I have remembered everyone!

Sunday 13th July 2014

The Yorkshire Triathalon is an exhausting event that requires entrants to swim, cycle then run the final stretch to the finish line.

This hugely successful Yorkshire Triathlon was held at Pugneys Park. In its third year over 300 hardy triathletes competed in stunning weather with spectacular scenery. Once again the event set the scene for a competitive day for both the experienced and novice triathlete. There were some amazing stories and some great achievements and goals reached on a superb day for all involved.

Leeds 10k LogoJane Tomlinson Leeds 10k
Sunday 20th July 2014

The race, part of the legacy of the inspirational Jane Tomlinson who founded the event in 2007, has raised over £2.5m since its launch and charities were again the winners as up to 10,000 entrants, spurred on by cheering crowds, took on the course to raise money for a host of good causes.

The streets were alive with colour and noise as the runners made their way along the route that took in some of the city’s best loved landmarks. It started near the Grand Theatre in Vicar Lane and headed down to The Calls, past City Square and the famous Black Prince statue, along Wellington Street and out along Kirkstall Road. It then looped back on itself, bringing runners to The Headrow where enthusiastic spectators cheered them across the finish line outside Leeds Town Hall.
