DESCRIPTION:Please note\, this course is aimed at parent/carers of children
  with additional needs and disabilities and the subsidisation is aimed at 
 supporting them. If you are wanting training for a PA for your child\, ple

  Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course\nWhat’s Covered?\n\n 	Th
 e roles and responsibilities of an emergency paediatric first aider\n 	Ass
 essing an emergency situation\n 	Dealing with an unresponsive infant or ch
 ild\n 	Recovery Position\n 	CPR and defibrillation\n 	Choking\n 	Minor Inj
 uries\n 	Bites and Stings\n 	Seizures\n 	External Bleeding\n 	Hypovolaemic
  shock\n\nWe have also added 30 extra minutes to answer any specific queri
 es that our families may have (i.e. How to deal with a choking child in a 
 wheelchair\, how to administer first aid to a pre-verbal child\, etc). To 
 ensure best use of this time\, if you have any queries you want to ask at 
 this session\, please email me on info@littlehiccups.co.uk after booking a
 nd I will email them in advance to the trainers.\n\nThe course will run 9.
 15am-4.45pm and there will be lunch provided. When booking\, please do let
  me know of any dietary requirements. Bookings close a week before the eve
 nt to allow planning.\n\nWe apologise – but these courses are not suitab

 l professionals who have years of experience dealing with real-life emerge
 ncies.\n\nJayne Myers worked in the Ambulance Service for 20 years\, servi
 ng 12 years as a Paramedic. Jayne holds a City &amp\; Guilds Teaching Cert
 ificate and has over 10 years’ experience in delivering a wide range of 
 courses\, including instructor programmes and courses in the field of pre-
