DESCRIPTION:How to support toothbrushing\, hair brushing\, and other hygien
 e and care tasks\n\nDaily care routines like toothbrushing\, hair brushing
 \, washing\, and dressing can be challenging for children with sensory sen
 sitivities or emotional regulation needs. This session explores gentle\, p
 ractical strategies to make these tasks more comfortable and manageable fo
 r both children and their caregivers.\n\nWe’ll look at ways to reduce st
 ress\, build trust\, and support independence—whether your child finds c
 ertain textures overwhelming\, struggles with transitions\, or simply need
 s a little extra reassurance.\n\nJoin us to share experiences\, learn new 
 approaches\, and discover tools that can help make care routines feel safe
 r\, calmer\, and more positive.\n\n\n\nEach in-person course will have a m
 ax of 15 attendees and will be in a Workshop format.\n\nThe course will ru
 n 10am-11.30am and there will be lunch provided afterwards as well as time
  for questions for the in-person course. When booking\, please do let me k
 now of any dietary requirements. Bookings close a week before the event to
  allow planning.\n\nWe apologise – but these courses are not suitable fo

 ing Tools\n\nJuniper Tree Therapy is a Specialist Paediatric Occupational 
 Therapy team\, supporting children\, young people and their families acros
 s Leeds. We are passionate about supporting those with a wide range of uni
 que needs\, including learning difficulties\, neurodevelopmental condition
 s\, physical and motor impairments\, and sensory and emotional difficultie
 s.\n\nWe consider how an individual’s nervous system perceives sensory i
 nformation\; from the world around them\, and from within their own body. 
 We then consider how this impacts on the way that children engage in daily
  life\, and how they are able to connect with the important people around 
 them.\n\nWe consider the family as a whole\, and we are passionate about e
 nsuring that the child or young person is their own ‘expert’ about the
 ir experiences\, strengths and areas of challenge. We are also able to int
 erpret their bodily responses\, and the perspectives of their close family
 \, friends\, and other Key Adults.\n\nUsing a Sensory Integration and Sens
 ory Attachment Intervention lens helps us to understand what is beneath a 
 presenting difficulty. This means we can create recommendations and guidan
 ce to help to provide support within each child’s individual family life
 . We focus on providing repeated opportunities for regulation and connecti
 on across the day\, to help the brain to ‘rewire’ in response to regul
