Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of welcoming parents into a calm, supportive space for our Wellness Yoga for Parents sessions at Welcome In. Held every other Monday morning, these sessions were all about showing up just as you are, taking a breath, and giving yourself the gift of self-care.
Each week, Debs, the yoga instructor, explored gentle yoga-based movement, breathing practices, and grounding techniques designed to help us reset and recharge. Whether you were brand new to yoga or had some experience, the sessions were open, inclusive, and completely judgement-free. It was a space to connect with yourself—and if you wanted to—with others who understand the ups and downs of parenting.
💬 “There are no expectations, no pressure—just a chance to breathe, move, and be.”
We also made sure to leave time after each session for a cuppa and a chat. That extra time gave us the flexibility to slow down, connect, and build a little community of support.
A Special Finale: Kids Welcome!
Today marked our final session—and what a joyful one it was! Since school’s out for summer, we invited the children to join in. The room was filled with laughter, movement, and shared moments of connection. It was a beautiful way to wrap up the course: parents and children learning, stretching, and relaxing together.
💛 Thank You
To everyone who joined us: thank you. Thank you for showing up, for taking time for yourselves, and for being part of this little wellness journey. Whether you came to one session or all five, we hope you left feeling a little more grounded, a little more connected, and a lot more supported.
We’re already looking forward to what’s next. Until then—keep breathing, keep stretching, and keep being kind to yourself.
