📝 About the Event

Following on from the successes of previous years, we are again hosting our annual Superhero Award Ceremony! We will be celebrating all things Superhero and that means YOU guys. You’re our Superheroes and you have shown us time and time again your extraordinary powers.

• What we will be doing: This is a special celebration day dedicated to our amazing children. We have the brilliant Super Susie Sparkles back to entertain and wow the children, fantastic facepainting and balloon modeling, and a very special visitor stall from Lush Leeds White Rose where children can get hands-on and make their own bathbomb!
• The Award Ceremony: We will be honouring 18 children across two categories:
  • Mini Marvels (Ages 2-9)
  • Teen Titans (Ages 10-18)
• How to Nominate: We are asking adults to nominate a Little Hiccups child or sibling who has been a Superhero this year. What this means is entirely up to you, because for every child it will be different! You can nominate your own child or a child you know, and you are welcome to submit multiple nominations (please fill them in one at a time).Criteria: The only rules are that they must be a registered Little Hiccups child (or sibling) and have not previously won a Superhero Award. (If you aren’t sure, nominate anyway and we will check!). We expect a high number of entries, so please don’t be discouraged if your nomination doesn’t get through this time.👉 Click here to nominate your Superhero!
• Is it structured? While we have some fantastic things planned, this is a completely relaxed, free-flowing, and low-pressure celebration! There is absolutely no pressure on the children, and we won’t be pulling anyone up onto a stage. The ceremony is entirely informal and relaxed—we will come directly around to the children at their picnic places to present their awards instead.

• Parking & Drop-Off: There is dedicated parking available on-site at the venue. Accessible parking bays are located close to the entrance.
• Finding Little Hiccups: Follow the Superhero signs from the main entrance area! Our team will be waiting to sign your family in and hand out your event itineraries.

🚶 Moving Around

• Space: This event takes place entirely outside on a flat field. There is a gravel path leading to the area, but the Little Hiccups team will be right there on hand to help anyone who needs assistance navigating it with wheelchairs or pushchairs.

  Seating: This is a picnic-style event, so please bring along your own folding chairs, picnic blankets, and anything else you need to get comfortable on the grass while you relax, eat, and enjoy the celebrations!

🚽 Toilets & Changing Facilities

• Standard Accessible Toilet: Accessible toilets are available on-site within the venue.
• Changing Places Toilet: If a full Changing Places facility is required during the day, we can arrange to take our Mobile Changing Unit to the event—please ensure you tick this option on the booking form if you need it! There is an on-site changing room at the venue that we are able to use.

🎧 Sensory & Calm Spaces

With music, magic, cheering, and bathbomb making workshops, there will still be plenty of fun things going on! However, we keep our numbers fairly low and the event is well spread out across the field, so the atmosphere is actually quite chill and relaxed.

We want all our children to feel comfortable, so if anyone does need a breather, there is plenty of open space to move away and decompress. Ear defenders are still recommended if your child is particularly sensitive to sound during the entertainment.

🍰 Food & Drinks

We will be feeding you all on the day! Refreshments and a meal are fully provided as part of your invite.

⚠️ Important: Please ensure that you clearly fill in all dietary requirements, food preferences, and allergies for every member of your group when completing your booking form so we can cater safely for everyone.

🌳 Outdoor Spaces

• Paths & Ground: The venue features level pathways connecting the parking area to the main building entrance. Any outdoor garden or courtyard access points are paved and level.

⛑️ Safety & Support

• First Aid: Designated first aid support will be available on-site throughout the duration of the ceremony. Little Hiccups staff are also present to guide and support where needed.
• Allergy Safety: Because we are running a live bathbomb building workshop with Lush products, please monitor children with sensitive skin or airborne scent triggers.

Please book your places using the custom link provided in your official invitation email. Booking is mandatory for all family members attending so that we can accurately calculate catering, refreshments, and space arrangements on the day!
