📝 About the Event
- What we will be doing: Join us for a relaxed picnic in Middleton Park, this is great opportunity to get together with other Little Hiccups families, whilst exploring different parks across. Don’t forget your picnic and blanket or chairs!
- Is it structured? Nope! This is a very relaxed event, we will be located on the grass area near the café, playground and lake so come and say hi when you arrive.
- Who it’s for & Group Size: This is a whole family event. Please be aware of the lake at the park but there are lots of lovely walks exploring the woods and lots more.
- Date & Time: Friday 31st July from 11am to 1pm (this is the time the Little Hiccups team will be at the park but you can stay as long as want )
🚗 Getting There & Arrival

- Parking & Drop-Off: There a car park with Blue Badge bays and there is also street parking near the entrance to the park.
- Finding Little Hiccups: We will be sat on the grass near next to the car park – look out for our Little Hiccups banner.
🚽 Toilets & Changing Facilities
- Standard Accessible Toilet: There is an accessible toilet next to the café, as well as male and female toilets.
- Changing Places Toilet: There isn’t a changing places onsite. The nearest one is one mile away – Middleton Leisure Centre. Here is a link to the Changing Places website to find out more information Changing Places Toilets
- Baby Changing: Available within the toilets.
🎧 Sensory & Calm Spaces
As this event is outside and within a public space, we are unable to offer a specific quiet space but there is lots of different areas to explore if the main park area is busy.
🍰 Food & Drinks
There is a café on site for light refreshments if needed but this can sometimes be closed so we would recommend bringing a picnic.
🌳 Outdoor Spaces
- Paths & Ground: The main paths are tarmac. There is also a accessible walk through the woods (it is hilly though).
- Play & Seating: There is a playground within the park and there is some seating dotted around the park but recommend bringing your own or a blanket.
- Hazards to Note: There is a lake on-site and there is NO fence around it.
⛑️ Safety & Support
- First Aid: Little Hiccups staff are first-aid trained and will be able to support if needed.
- Emergency Evacuation: As this is an outside event, we will follow guidance of emergency staff if needed.

Important Booking Information:
Please note that our events are heavily subsidised by Little Hiccups to support our community. Because the charity covers the remaining costs based on our final confirmed numbers (such as venue hire, refreshments, entertainers and presenter costs), we kindly ask that you let us know if your plans change. If you can no longer make it, please cancel your places by emailing events@littlehiccups.co.uk so we can reallocate the spots and prevent charity funds from being lost.
