On September 15th, our community came together for an indoor skydiving event that will be remembered for years to come. Despite the challenging weather and a harrowing journey over the Pennines, which included breakdowns and even a car fire on the motorway, the day turned out to be a resounding success.
The trip to the venue was fraught with stress, as many participants arrived late due to the adverse conditions. However, the flexibility and understanding of the event organisers at AirKix ensured that everyone who made it was accommodated. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the schedule was adjusted to fit everyone in, making sure no one missed out on the fun.
The highlight of the day was seeing children fly and those facing their fears take to the tunnel. The event was designed to be inclusive, and no one was pressured to participate if they felt uncomfortable. This supportive environment allowed everyone to enjoy the day at their own pace.
