Christmas Party at The Royal Armouries

Our fantastic Christmas party was back on at the fabulous Royal Armouries venue in the Wellington Suite and this year we had a Neverland Theme with pirates, fairies and mermaids with the glamorous Suzy Sparkles.
After the initial ‘excitement’ of the floods and concerns as to whether the Royal Armouries would actually be open we were happy to hear that they were and our party could go ahead. Lucky for us as Santa had held off returning home so that he could visit us.
This party was our biggest yet and we actually struggled to fit in the room. It did nothing to dampen the atmosphere however and the children were greeted by Suzy Sparkles and her team who wowed them with games, singing and crafts and entertained every child there. Then we had another massive surprise for the children with the appearance of Ronnie Rhino who spend an hour with us taking photos and joining in with the games and even a dance-off with Captain Hook. One of the more unusual sights I have ever seen – a rhino and a pirate dancing to Gangnam Style…
As if that wasn’t enough the Royal Armouries laid out its usual fantastic spread of food and we were then visited by Santa who had a present for every child that had come to the party. Santa was also immensely popular (of course!) and he ended up with numerous child helpers to dish out the presents.
All in all it was a very lovely and packed few hours. Everyone went home happy and fed and hopefully it was a pleasant end to Christmas 2015. It certainly was for me.
