Dadlands Takeover at Quirky Ales, Garforth. Next Up: Wild Wellness in January!

The latest Little Hiccups Dadlands event landed at Quirky Ales in Garforth, and what a cracking evening it turned out to be!

The vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Dads jumped straight into a selection of games – a bit of friendly competition, a lot of laughter, and absolutely no keeping score (well… mostly 😄).

Of course, no Dadlands event would be complete without sampling a few drinks, and Quirky’s didn’t disappoint.

The real highlight, as always, was the conversation. Dads chatted openly about family life, sharing stories, laughs, and the occasional “you too?!” moment. The chat naturally drifted into hobbies, interests, and plenty of excitement about what’s coming up at the next Dadlands in January.

There was also space for more meaningful conversations. Mental health came up, with honest discussions about how we’re doing, supporting one another, and the importance of having a place where dads can just be themselves and talk things through without judgement.

All in all, it was loads of fun, full of laughter, connection, and good company. Dadlands once again proved that sometimes all you need is a game, a drink, and a group of like-minded dads to make a great evening.

🔥 Something Different for January: Dadlands Wild Wellness!

We are doing something a little different for our first event of the new year! Dadlands is moving into the woods for a relaxing evening of Wild Wellness in partnership with Wilderness Adventures CIC.

What to Expect:

A relaxed evening around the fire in a private woodland.
Snacks and hot drinks provided.
Group Cook: You are encouraged to join in the group cook if you would like!
Fire Strikers: An opportunity to make your own fire strikers! You will use hand tools to create a handle, and once complete, we will practice fire lighting using your new tool.
The small numbers will keep this an intimate and relaxed event, giving you time to unwind and reflect.

Details and Booking:

Who’s It For? Dads, stepdads, grandads, or male carers of children with disabilities or additional needs. Come as you are.
Age Restriction: Strictly over 18s only.
Location: Go to the end of Park Lane, Kippax (LS25 7AP) and go through some large metal gates—you can’t miss them! Parking is directly to the right, and the woodlands is to the left.
Cost: We are asking for the full ticket price of £17.50pp on booking. £10 will be refunded to all attendees the next working day, so you will receive a fun night out with great company and food for £7.50.
