James’ Story
Position: Chairperson
Roles: Responsible for Child Protection on the Board of Directors
James is a member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Accreditation Scheme and is an accredited Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). His accreditations means that we are one of the few specialists able to undertake legal aid work for those who qualify.
James deals with all types of clinical negligence, but specialises in acting for patients with life changing catastrophic injuries including Erb’s & Cerebral Palsy.
James is the only Erb’s Palsy Group (EPG) recommended solicitor in the North of England, http://www.erbspalsygroup.co.uk
He is also a Director/Trustee for Little Hiccups.
In addition to his charity work James also provides presentations to organisations and has been invited to provide publish articles. Most recently James’ article “Cognition and consent for adults” was published by the British Journal of Neuroscience Nursing (Vol 8 No 24) and he gave a talk at Kit for Kids on “what’s in a clinical negligence claim” to parents of families with disabled children and health professionals.
Outside of work, James and his wife are kept busy with their young son and daughter and 2 German Wire Haired Pointers.
