If you had walked into our workshop yesterday, you wouldn’t have seen a room full of children—you would have seen a team of world-class Mini Chocolatiers in the making!
Our latest Little Hiccups Family Fun Day was a whirlwind of melted chocolate, sticky fingers, and a whole lot of laughter. We teamed up with Louise from Chocolate Collective for a hands-on workshop that proved one thing for certain: chocolate is a serious (and seriously messy) business.
Pure Chocolate Perfection
The mission was simple but delicious: create 10–15 bespoke chocolate truffles. Our families got stuck straight into the “hard work” of:
- Mixing and rolling the ganache into perfect (and some perfectly unique!) shapes.
- Dipping and decorating to create those professional-looking finishes.
- The ultimate quality control test: licking the spoons!
It was chaotic, it was noisy, and it was wonderfully, gloriously messy. In fact, after the last truffle was boxed up, we spent a solid hour scrubbing the tables just to find the surfaces again! But seeing the children so focused on their creations made every minute of that cleanup worth it.
