What a fantastic morning we had! Today, our Little Hiccups families stepped through the magical doors of Casita for a high-energy Encanto – Mini Madrigals Workshop, led by the wonderful Kathleen Richards from Inspire & Elevate.
From the second everyone walked into the room, the vibrant colors and joyful energy set the stage for an unforgettable musical theatre adventure.
Crafting, Costumes, and Sensory Fun 🎨✨
We kicked off the morning with plenty of creative station activities to help everyone settle in. Children got straight to work creating their own magical fans, dressing up in colorful grass skirts, flower leis, and bright ribbons, and diving into themed crafts.
To make sure the space was welcoming for all our young performers, we had a fully stocked sensory and fidget station setup on the tables. Soft fiber-optic lights, pop-its, squishy fidgets, and colouring books gave everyone a cozy place to regulate and take a breather whenever they needed it.
Bringing the Magic of Encanto to Life 🎶💃
Once everyone was styled and ready to shine, the real theatre magic began! Guided by Kathleen, our Mini Madrigals explored rhythm, song, and movement inspired by the hit movie.
We had an absolute blast through a series of interactive games—dancing with colorful ribbon wands and silk scarves, and following the character points around the room (complete with lit-up candles for that extra touch of Madrigal magic!). The smiles, giggles, and dance moves across the hall were non-stop.

To wrap up a brilliant morning of dancing and drama, every single participant was presented with a official Little Hiccups Encanto Certificate for demonstrating incredible skill, enthusiasm, and creativity. Seeing the pride on our young performers’ faces as they received their certificates was the perfect finale to a magical morning.
A huge thank you to Kathleen at Inspire & Elevate for bringing so much warmth and energy to our workshop, and to all our amazing families for coming along and filling the room with so much joy!
