This month, Little Hiccups launched a new event series designed with one purpose in mind: giving parent carers a well-deserved break. Our first Parent Carer Night Out took place at the warm and welcoming Caballero Lounge in The Springs, Leeds. It was a wonderful evening, and we’re excited to make this a regular opportunity for our Hiccups family!
The Perfect Atmosphere for a Night Off
Located just off junction 46 of the M1, Caballero Lounge proved to be the ideal setting for our gathering. The venue’s comfortable and inclusive atmosphere allowed everyone to relax fully, with warm lighting, soft seating, and a large, airy space that felt both cozy and expansive. Parents could unwind, share stories, and enjoy good company – all while indulging in Caballero’s delicious menu.
With a lovely outside terrace, accessible seating, and even toys for younger ones, the Lounge offers something for everyone. But for this event, the focus was on our incredible parent carers. The space allowed us to step away from daily responsibilities and enjoy time for ourselves – a rare and cherished experience for many.
Supporting Each Other in a Welcoming Space
The feedback from attendees was lovely. One of the best parts of the evening was the friendly, informal vibe. As one parent shared, “It felt like self-care, with good food, good company, and the chance to chat with others who understand the unique joys and challenges we face.” Conversations flowed naturally, covering everything from family experiences to just everyday life, creating a wonderful sense of connection and mutual support.
We know that the value of these get-togethers is more than just a night out – it’s an opportunity to recharge, to feel seen, and to know that we’re not alone in our journeys.
A Night for Every Quarter
We’re delighted to announce that this event will be held every three months on the first Wednesday, starting at 6 p.m. Little Hiccups will purchase vouchers in advance, so each attendee will receive a £10 voucher toward their food and drink on the night. Caballero Lounge’s extensive menu has something for everyone, from light bites to hearty meals, making it a great spot to meet diverse dietary needs.
If you’re interested in attending, be sure to pre-book. Bookings for the next one opens on Jan 1st. You can review the menu here and fill out our booking form with your order. Don’t forget to let us know about any allergies so we can work with the Caballero Lounge team to ensure everyone’s safe and comfortable.
Accessibility at Caballero Lounge
We’re committed to making all Little Hiccups events as accessible as possible. Caballero Lounge offers wheelchair-accessible seating and restrooms, while Changing Place facilities are conveniently located next door at the Odeon Cinema. There’s plenty of parking on site, with both electric vehicle spaces and Blue Badge spaces available.
