Last night, Little Hiccups hosted an unforgettable Parent/Carer Night Out at Pinot & Picasso, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The event, held exclusively for our wonderful parents and carers, was a perfect blend of creativity, laughter, and camaraderie.
The Venue
We had the entire place to ourselves, creating an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The room was spacious and well-ventilated, though a tad chilly due to its size. But that didn’t dampen our spirits one bit!
The Activity: Textured Art – Mamma Mia Nights
The highlight of the evening was the textured art session inspired by “Mamma Mia.” Our talented instructor, an Italian artist, guided us through the process of creating beautiful three-dimensional artworks using paint and clay. The special Mamma Mia playlist added to the fun, and soon everyone was singing along to ABBA classics while working on their masterpieces.
The Experience
The night was filled with memorable moments:
- Artistic Fun: We experimented with colour mixing and shading, and while some artworks looked better from afar, everyone enjoyed the creative process.
- Laughter and Good Humour: There were plenty of laughs as we admired each other’s attempts. One particularly funny moment was when someone’s artwork was ‘accidentally’ sabotaged with green paint, but our instructor quickly came to the rescue.
- Socialising: Groups of friends, many of whom met through SEND sessions, enjoyed catching up and making new memories together.
Refreshments
The bar offered a delightful selection of drinks, including wines from New Theory, beers from North Brewing, Prosecco, and cocktails by Black Lines. Soft drinks were also available for those who preferred non-alcoholic options. The drinks added to the festive atmosphere, and many attendees enjoyed a glass of wine or beer while working on their art.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made the night so special. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
