This August marked a huge milestone for Little Hiccups — our first ever summer programme of events! We’ve long dreamed of creating more opportunities for families to connect during the summer holidays, and this year, we made it happen.
Here’s a look at what we achieved together:
📈 Growing Our Community
We welcomed 17 new members, bringing our total to 1,386 families. Each new connection strengthens our community and helps us reach more families who need support.
🎉 Events That Made a Difference
- Superhero Award Day: A joyful celebration with 46 attendees, honouring our incredible children and siblings.
- Stay n Play: Welcomed 42 families for relaxed, inclusive play sessions.
- Summer Picnics & Mosaic Trail Meet-Ups: Held at Golden Acre Park, Rodley Nature Reserve, Western Flatts Cliff Park, and Lotherton Hall — with 71 attendees enjoying nature and connection.
🎭 New Experiences
- Musical Theatre Workshops:
- Frozen ❄️ – 11 children
- Lion King 🦁 – 9 children
- Relaxed Family Session at Bianco Lounge: A quieter space for families to unwind (3 attendees).
- Physio Assessment Sessions: Two sessions offering tailored support for children’s physical development.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved this summer. Every event was a chance to build community, offer support, and create joyful memories. Thank you to everyone who joined us, volunteered, or supported us behind the scenes.
Here’s to many more summers of connection and celebration 💛
