This past Sunday, the sun shone brightly over the rolling fields surrounding Iveridge Hall, creating the perfect setting for our much-anticipated Superhero Award Ceremony. Hosted in the serene environment of Iveridge Hall, a beautiful spa location, we were blessed with gorgeous weather that allowed us to sit comfortably under dappled trees on chairs and blankets, soaking in the warmth and the joy of the day.
Our annual Superhero Award Ceremony is a special event dedicated to honoring the incredible children and siblings who continue to amaze us with their strength, courage, and resilience. Each year, we celebrate the unique superpowers of these extraordinary young individuals, recognizing that every child’s journey is different, and each has their own story of heroism to tell.
The day began with excitement in the air as families arrived and settled in. Super Suzie Sparkles, a favorite from previous events, was back by popular demand to entertain and amaze the children with her magical antics. Her energy and enthusiasm set the perfect tone for the day, and it wasn’t long before laughter and smiles spread across the faces of everyone in attendance.
Adding to the fun, we had face painting available, transforming our Little Hiccups children into the superheroes they are, both inside and out. We were also thrilled to welcome Lush, who brought along a delightful stall where the children could create their own bath bombs. The excitement was palpable as little hands mixed ingredients and crafted colorful, fragrant bath bombs to take home as a special reminder of the day.
The highlight of the event was, of course, the award ceremony itself. We were honored to present 18 children with their well-deserved Superhero Awards across three categories: Mini Marvels (ages 2-9), Teen Titans (ages 10-15), and Super Siblings (all ages). Each child received a pack, a certificate, and a trophy to commemorate their achievements. In keeping with our tradition, every sibling also went home with gifts, recognizing their support and strength alongside their superhero brothers and sisters.
This year’s ceremony was made even more special by the presence of our new patron, Maddie Thompson. Maddie has been an inspiration to us all, and we were thrilled to have her join us for the first time at this event. Her words of encouragement and support resonated deeply with everyone, and her involvement made the day even more memorable.
As we reflect on this wonderful day, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event possible. To our incredible volunteers, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly; to Super Suzie Sparkles, Lush, and our fantastic face painters for bringing so much joy to the children; and to Iveridge Hall for providing such a beautiful venue for our celebration.
Most importantly, we want to thank our Little Hiccups families. You are the true superheroes, and we are constantly inspired by your love, resilience, and determination. This event is a testament to your strength, and we are so proud to celebrate you and your amazing children.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Superhero Award Ceremony and can’t wait to see what new stories of heroism and strength will unfold. Until then, keep shining, Little Hiccups Superheroes – the world is a better place with you in it.
Thank you all for making this day unforgettable.
