This past weekend, we welcomed our Little Hiccups families to a special Eid celebration at Aagrah Garforth – and what a brilliant morning it turned out to be. With full attendance and a room full of smiles, it was a true celebration of community, culture, and joy.
🍽️ Aagrah’s Generosity and a Feast to Remember
We’re incredibly grateful to Aagrah Garforth for their generous charity deal and warm hospitality. The buffet brunch was a real treat – a delicious spread that catered to all tastes, from traditional South Asian favourites to continental classics and even a full English breakfast.
A big thank you to the team at Aagrah who were helpful, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
🎭 Entertainment That Kept Everyone Smiling
We had a packed programme of entertainment that kept both kids and grown-ups engaged throughout the morning:
- Ray Burrell’s Magic Show had everyone captivated. Ray’s performance was full of clever tricks, audience participation, and plenty of laughs. Whether it was making objects disappear or reading minds, he had the crowd completely hooked.
- Face Painting by Claire was a huge hit. Her designs were colourful, creative, and beautifully done – from Stitch to glittery flowers. Claire shared a lovely moment with one of our regulars, who added her own creative flair by painting her hands in her favourite colour – indigo! It’s these little interactions that make our events so special. See Claire’s work here.
- Balloon Modelling brought a burst of colour and fun to the room. From swords and flowers to intricate animals, the balloon artist worked non-stop to create something special for every child who asked.
It was lovely to see the children so engaged and excited – and even better to see parents getting involved too!
🎁 Goody Bags Galore
Each child received a goody bag filled with a mix of thoughtful treats and surprises – sweets, small toys, sensory items, and Eid-themed items. These little bags were a big hit and added an extra layer of joy to the day.
🍬 A Sweet Thank You
A special thank you to Ateka, one of our families who brought in a batch of homemade marshmallows for the team. They were absolutely delicious and very much appreciated – such a kind and thoughtful gesture.
