Little Hiccups visited Hollingworth Lake Water Activity Centre and from the get go we were welcomed by the team who were were just completely up for anything. There were no obstacles – only opportunities for different experiences. One child couldn’t get in one of the boats due to mobility issues. It wasn’t a problem – they just went off and found them another, more accessible boat.

They had a hoist on the dock as well to enable the children to access the bigger boats and it was great to see them be given this opportunity. Their faces really did say it all.

Some of the more mobile families were off on pedalos, paddle boats or giant stand up paddle boards. And there were a few optional dips in the lake as well taken by some of the families.

I, as well as many of the other families, enjoyed a trip out on the Lady Katherine – which was a bigger boat and took us all off for a pleasant jaunt around the lake where we met many of our families enjoying their various activities. It was a very easy and laid back event – and that was all thanks to the team at the Activity Centre.

The location is also perfect with plenty of snack shops around. I plan to revisit it during the summer holidays – have another dip and to enjoy a walk around the lake which looked like a pleasant stroll.
