We’re thrilled to announce that the Temple Newsam mosaic is now in place—and it’s more than just art. It’s a celebration of family, inclusion, and the special moments that make this historic estate so loved.
The Story Behind the Mosaic
This stunning design captures the essence of Temple Newsam through the eyes of one family. It features Billy’s iconic hat, the autism symbol, and vibrant leaves, flowers, bugs, and sticks arranged in the loose shape of the estate’s boundary. These elements reflect the sensory richness and natural beauty of the grounds.
And you won’t miss the huge swan—a tribute to Billy’s favorite experience at Temple Newsam: feeding the swans that come so close! Every detail tells a story of connection, joy, and belonging.
Why It Matters
This mosaic is part of our wider project to make Temple Newsam—and all our partner venues—more inclusive and welcoming for families with additional needs. It’s a visual reminder that every family’s experience matters.
