Last weekendās Wild Wellness Group gathering in the woods was a great reminder of how refreshing it can be to step away from the everyday and spend time in nature with good people.
Set in a quiet private woodland, the evening offered a mix of relaxed socialising, hands-on activities, and shared food around the campfire. It was a chance for parent/carers to take a breather, connect, and enjoy something a little different.
Around the Fire
The campfire was the heart of the eveningāwhere people gathered to chat, laugh, and enjoy a warm meal together. Julie Seabourne led the cooking, with help from others in the group. The menu featured creamy wild garlic mushrooms, salad, and garlic bread toasted over the fire. A big thank you to Maz and Ateka Kaji for bringing along homemade samosas and snacks that added even more flavour to the night.
Creative Bits
The leather craft table was busy all evening, with people making bracelets, purses, and pouch bags. Becks helped guide the bracelet making, and there were also flower hangers being woven nearby. It was a relaxed, no-pressure space to try something new or just enjoy the process.
(And yes, we had to clarifyāit was a leather craft table, not a bondage table!)
Wild Wellness is designed to be a low-key, welcoming space for adults to unwind. Thereās always a group cook, hot drinks, snacks, and music playing softly in the background. You can join in with the activities or just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.
