📝 About the Event

• What we will be doing: We are thrilled to announce that Little Hiccups has been invited back to the beautiful Harewood House for a special collaboration! Little Hiccups have our very own Christmas Tree at Harewood House and we will work together to decorate the tree and celebrate all our unique children! Your booking includes free access for the rest of the day to enjoy the stunning Harewood House, gardens, and the Playscape playground.
• Is it structured? This session will be led by the team at Harewood House, with some structure but also an opportunity for everyone to explore the decorations whilst choosing what we put on our tree.
• Who it’s for & Group Size: Due to the room this session is in, there will be a smaller number of people able to attend. Please book on as early as possible to take part!
• Date & Time: Monday 26th October from 2.30 to 4.30pm

🚗 Getting There & Arrival

• Venue Address: Harewood Road, Leeds LS17 9
• Venue Website: Yorkshire’s Most Vibrant Country House – Harewood House
• Parking & Drop-Off: There is a large carpark at Harewood House with a number of Blue Badge bays, please speak to the staff at Harewood House as you are arrive for more information.
• Finding Little Hiccups: We will meet in the courtyard, look out for the Little Hiccups flag!

🚶 Moving Around Inside

• Corridors & Space: The main room is open-plan with some tables and activity stations within the room.
• Lifts & Levels: There is a lift up to the room we are using for. Please get in touch if you need more information.
• Seating: Plenty of chairs scattered around the room for parents and children to rest.

🚽 Toilets & Changing Facilities

• Standard Accessible Toilet: Yes, requires a Radar key (our team has one if you need to borrow it).
• Changing Places Toilet: There is no Changing Places at Harewood House, here is the website to find the nearest Changing Places if needed – Changing Places Toilets
• Family & All-Gender Toilets: Please let us know if this is something you will need.
• Baby Changing: Available in both the ladies’ and gents’ toilets.

🎧 Sensory & Calm Spaces

• Lighting & Sound: Natural light with soft overhead lighting (no fluorescent strip lights). No background music will be playing.
• Little Hiccups Quiet Area: There will be no dedicated quiet area but we will have our sensory box with items such as head phones, fidget spinners etc. You can leave the room and explore the grounds of Harewood if needed.

🍰 Food & Drinks

• What’s provided: We advise that you bring any food or drinks with you. There is a café on site if needed.
• Dietary Info & Bringing Your Own: Please feel free to bring your own specific dietary food and snacks.

🌳 Outdoor Space

• Paths & Ground: There is a mixture of paths around Harewood House but the main area around the courtyard is paved. Thoroughout the rest of Harewood  it a mixture of paths, gravel paths with some steeper grassy slopes.
• Play & Seating: There a number of benches across the grounds. There are number of playgrounds to explore.
• Hazards to Note: There is a lake within the grounds, this is a 10 min walk from the courtyard.

⛑️ Safety & Support

• First Aid: Little Hiccups staff are first-aid trained, and the venue has a dedicated first-aid room.
• Emergency Evacuation: All emergency exits are step-free and lead directly to a safe outdoor assembly point. We will follow the instructions of the staff at Harewood House.

Please note that our events are heavily subsidised by Little Hiccups to support our community. Because the charity covers the remaining costs based on our final confirmed numbers (such as venue hire, refreshments, entertainers and presenter costs), we kindly ask that you let us know if your plans change. If you can no longer make it, please cancel your places by emailing events@littlehiccups.co.uk so we can reallocate the spots and prevent charity funds from being lost.
