It is traditional now for Little Hiccups to kick off our Christmas festivities with a trip to Sundown Adventureland at the beginning of December. And we always just Sundown as it is just SO Christmassy! Especially if you stay until the sun goes down and all the lights go on. We went back through the main square on our way back to the car about 5pm and my 6 year old just ran into the square and said, “It’s just SO pretty!”
Sundown, for those of you that have not yet been, is a theme park designed for under 10’s. Although – I have two teenagers that insist on attending every year. They still love the magic of it all. The rides are nice and relaxing, there are several playgrounds and some excellent Soft Play areas. You can also see every year, the changes and improvements that are occurring.
Santa and his elves, as always, excelled. The elves were especially welcoming, helpful and kind. I’ve had several parents message me to say how helpful they were with moving wheelchairs so that the children could still access the ride but then had their wheelchair on the other side to visit Santa with. One elf came in with a family in front of us to help support right up to the ride. And not only that, but he managed to entertain all the children with special light tricks while we were in the queue. They really do make it magical for all.
