📝 About the Course
- What we will be learning: A heartfelt and informative session exploring lived experiences of discovering and embracing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)—from the challenges and myths to the breakthroughs and joy. Whether you’re just starting to explore AAC or looking for ongoing support, this session offers practical tips for parents navigating AAC, insights into the emotional journey of finding the right communication method, and ideas on how we can all be better communication partners.
- Course Structure: A blend of practical advice, emotional honesty, inspiring real-life stories, and time for dedicated Q&A to ask your questions and join the conversation.
- Who it’s for: Designed especially for parents and carers of autistic children. This session is free to attend, but booking is essential. Please note that this session is not suitable for children and no childcare is available. Grab a cuppa, get comfortable on the sofa, and join us from home!
- Date & Time: Bookings close exactly one week before the event to allow for course planning.
