Connie and her family have been part of the Little Hiccups family since 2014. The family joined Little Hiccups after hearing lots of positive comments about the group. They felt as a family they might need the support, advice and understand from other families in their position and they say it was the best thing they ever did.
Right from the moment they arrived they have been an integral part of us. They have joined us at Stay n Plays, Family Fun Days and at our Fundraising events. Not only that but Connie’s family and extended family have supported us time and time again with fundraising themselves.
Connie is a Little Hiccups child who has Downs Syndrome and is perhaps best known for her modelling career where she raises positive awareness of Downs Syndrome.
This October, Leah Petch who is Connie’s big cousin, joined with the Parnaby Arms in Middleton and organised and hosted a Fundraising Fair to raise funds for Little Hiccups and The Rocking R – “two charities close to their hearts”. The final amount is yet to be confirmed, but I’ve heard that around £500 will be going to each charity which is just amazing!
“Little Hiccups have done so much for my family and especially my cousin Connie, I wanted to give a little bit of something back.”

The event was held at the Parnaby Arms and consisted of a number of stalls (perfect for some early Christmas shopping), face painting, a bouncy castle, Hook a Duck games, raffle, a magician, DJ and Disney Princess. Then in the evening it continued and carried on till late and included Karaoke, bands and lots of drinks!
I attended with my four year old and it was a lovely afternoon of entertainment and we left very happy and sugared up with a happy and tired child. A successful afternoon in my book!
Mum of Connie, Julie Seabourne says “I’m so proud of my niece Leah Petch, she has never organised anything like this before and she did amazingly well. As did all the staff at the Parnaby Tavern”.
We are too! Thank you Leah and the Parnaby Arms.
