We had the BEST time yesterday at Eureka! The National Children’s Museum with our Little Hiccups families — and wow, it’s had a glow-up! It’s been a couple of years since our last visit, and it was like stepping into a whole new world of fun. The shop, bank, and loads of other areas have had a fab facelift, and we were especially wowed by the Spark Gallery — so colourful and exciting!
Eureka! is perfect for kids aged 0–11 (though everyone’s welcome!) and is packed with hands-on exhibits across six amazing zones. It’s one of those chilled-out trips where you can turn up and leave whenever suits you, which makes it super easy to plan around your family’s needs.
💜 Accessibility That Really Works
We were genuinely impressed by how inclusive and thoughtful Eureka! is. Everywhere we looked, there were features to support families with additional needs — they really get it. Here’s just a few of the things we spotted:
- ✅ Changing Places toilet with hoist, adjustable bed, and space for carers
- ✅ Quiet room for sensory breaks
- ✅ Sensory bags available to borrow
- ✅ Wheelchairs to use during your visit
- ✅ Level access and a lift between floors
- ✅ Adult-sized beds in First Aid rooms
- ✅ Dedicated disabled parking close to the entrance
What our Families Say:
“The kids absolutely LOVED today. I haven’t been for years and probably wouldn’t have gone again if it wasnt for you guys so thank you for organising it. We had a solid 2 hours with only a 5 minute break. Couldn’t believe it!”
We loved seeing so many Little Hiccups families enjoying the day together. If you haven’t been in a while — go! It’s fresh, fun, and full of heart. 💫
