This past Monday, Little Hiccups hosted a delightful team-building event exclusively for our dedicated trustees and volunteers. It was a wonderful opportunity to show our appreciation for the incredible work they do, and to strengthen the bonds within our team. The evening was filled with laughter, creativity, and, of course, delicious treats!
The Activity: Belgian Dark Chocolate Truffle Making
The highlight of the night was the hands-on chocolate truffle-making session. Each participant had the chance to create 25 Belgian dark chocolate truffles, using either double cream or a plant-based alternative for those who are vegan or lactose intolerant. Working in pairs, everyone mixed Belgian dark chocolate and cream to make a smooth ganache, which formed the soft centres of the truffles. The ganache was then rolled into balls and coated with more chocolate.
The best part? Each person got to gift wrap their handmade truffles, creating beautiful and delicious treats to take home or share with loved ones.
The Experience
The event was a resounding success, filled with memorable moments:
