Wilderness Adventures is run by a team of like minded individuals.  It was born through their shared belief in the Forest School approach to learning and their love of nature, hands on learning and art.

Our forest school activities include hands-on nature exploration, creative play, and skill-building in a outdoor environment. By engaging children and their families in nature-based education, we aim to cultivate a sense of wonder, curiosity, and respect for the natural world.

The session will include free play with the mud kitchen, large loose parts, den building, clay or playdough which will be followed with a crafty activity (if they want to!) and/or tools and some fire lighting too.  There will be hot drinks for the adults and the session will finish with marshmallows (please let us know in the comments, if there are any dietary requirements around these – i.e. Vegetarian)

Please be aware that this session is outdoors will continue whatever the weather (minus something like a hurricane) so please dress appropriately.

We’ll be running two sessions, a morning (10am – 12pm) and afternoon one (1pm – 3pm). Please book on the one you would like to attend.

Adults need to attend to supervise their children, but do not need to book on. Under 1’s can also attend without booking. 

Sessions are run from a private woodland on Park Lane, Kippax. LS25 7AP. 

Accessibility

​There is parking close by and easy access into the woodland and suitable for prams/wheelchairs for the main paths. Please be aware that it is in a woodland setting and there will be uneven paths.

There are toilets and a nappy changing table. 

The nearest Changing Places facilities will be the Odeon Cinema at Thorpe Park
