Meet your Presenter: Laura Brown
We’re thrilled to welcome Laura Brown from Spinning World of Autism to our event!
Laura is a passionate AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) advocate, speaker, and writer. She’s the proud parent of Ethan, a cheeky, curious, and clever 5-year-old who is autistic, non-speaking, and a confident AAC user. Their family’s journey with AAC has been life-changing—and Laura is now on a mission to raise awareness, improve training, and push for better funding for AAC access in schools and at home.
Laura is also autistic herself, receiving her diagnosis a year after Ethan’s. Her lived experience as both a parent and an autistic adult fuels her powerful advocacy work.
She’s spoken at the Houses of Parliament, been a Keynote Speaker at Communication Works North, featured on ITV News, and contributed to the National Autistic Society. Her voice is helping shape a more inclusive, understanding world for AAC users everywhere.
💬 Come hear Laura’s inspiring story and learn how we can all be better communication partners.
