📝 About the Event

• What we will be doing: We are pleased to offer an exciting afternoon of water sports! You will have the opportunity to try activities like rafted canoe trips, mini steamers and lots more. There will be instructors on hand to help and support when needed. The activities are as accessible as possible but please do contact us if you want to know more about the planned activities. This is a great event, you can try something new and exciting whilst being cheered on by other Little Hiccups families!!
• Is it structured? Yes, this is a structured event. The activities will be rotated throughout the afternoon. There space for you to have a picnic and enjoy the location throughout the afternoon.
• Who it’s for & Group Size: This event is suitable for everyone. We have exclusive use of the centre and there will be members of the Little Hiccups team on hand if you have any queries.
• Parent & Carer Info: You will remain responsible for your children throughout the event. The instructors at the centre are experienced at supporting families to join in the activities, please do reach out to the team on the day to talk through the activities and any adaptions that might be needed.
• Refreshments: Please bring any refreshments with you, it is going to be a busy afternoon! if needed, there are a number of cafes and restaurants available to get something to eat or drink nearby.

🚗 Getting There & Arrival

• Venue Website: Hollingworth Lake Adventure & Water Activity Centre – Your Trust
• Parking & Drop-Off: The venue is close to a Council owned Pay and Display car park that you can use. Please arrive with enough time to find a parking space. There are Blue Badge bays available.
• Finding Little Hiccups: Look out for the Little Hiccups team! We will be there to welcome you, help you get settled, and share the plan for the afternoon

🚶 Moving Around and Hazards

• Levels & Access: The venue features full disabled access. If you have any questions or need support, please speak to a member of the team.
• Seating: There is seating dotted around the area but we would recommend bringing a chair or a picnic blanket. Although there might not be a lot of time for sitting down!!!
• Lockers: There is a small number of lockers available. Any valuable items can be left with the reception desk if needed.
• Changing facilities: Changing facilities are available , including hoist, if needed.
• Hazards: Due to the nature of this event, there are a number of hazards to consider including the access to the lake (there is no barrier to the lake). Closer to the date, we will have a full list of activities, please do reach out to discuss this further.

🚽 Toilets & Changing Facilities

• Changing Places Toilet: Yes! A fully equipped, accessible Changing Places toilet is available onsite for families who require it.
• Standard Toilets: Accessible and standard toilets are based with the centre.
• Changing Facilities: There are changing facilities onsite, if needed.

🎧 Sensory & Calm Spaces

• Calm Space: As we have  exclusive use of the centre, there will be a space available if needed. Please speak to a member of the Little Hiccups Team on the day for the location.
• Sensory packs: We will bring a selection of sensory equipment for anyone who may find this useful.
