📝 About the Session
- What we will be doing: Free 1-to-1 dedicated drop-in support sessions with Kate Keir. When you have a child with additional needs, the administrative burden, paperwork, and mental load can feel completely overwhelming—especially if you are neurodivergent yourself. These 50 min sessions are a safe, practical space to tackle whatever is weighing on you most. Kate can help you break down and tackle complex paperwork (such as DLA, PIP, or EHCP contributions), untangle Access to Work claims, figure out realistic life and household organisation routines, or simply help you work through overwhelm and brain fog.
- What to expect (The Vibe): Completely confidential, calm, and zero-pressure. There is no judgement here, no lectures, and no expectation to have things neat or organised before you arrive. Bring that unopened letter, the half-filled form, your laptop, or just your thoughts. If you cannot make it in person or prefer to meet from home, these sessions can also be attended online via video link during your booked time slot.
- Who it’s for: Primarily aimed at our parents and carers who are on the autism spectrum or neurodivergent and feel they need a bit of extra dedicated support, but open to all Little Hiccups parents and carers who are feeling overwhelmed by SEND admin and life management. Strictly over 18s only (no childcare available).
- Date & Time: Friday 2nd October. We have 3 free bookable 50 min slots available:
- 10:00am – 10:50am
- 11:00am – 11:50pm
- 12:00pm – 12:50pm
🎤 About Our Presenter / Guest Speaker
Who is joining us: Kate Keir – Neurodiversity Specialist, Operations Consultant & Access to Work Advisor.- What she will be sharing: Kate brings practical, neurodivergent-friendly strategies to cut through administrative paralysis and mental fatigue. Rather than standard advice that works against your brain, Kate works with you to find systems that actually fit how you think and live. During your session, she can assist with:
- Navigating and completing overwhelming forms (PIP, DLA, EHCP paperwork, and medical questionnaires).
- Access to Work applications, workplace adjustments, and grant claims.
- Managing executive dysfunction—tackling task paralysis, inbox dread, and life admin.
- Creating simple, sustainable routines for home and personal organisation when your mental bandwidth is stretched to capacity.
- About the Presenter: Kate is a neurodivergent professional who combines a BA (Hons) in Business with extensive lived experience of neurodiversity. She specialises in taking the heavy operational strain off neurodivergent founders, professionals, and individuals. Because she lives it herself, she deeply understands executive dysfunction, sensory overload, and the unique exhaustion of carrying a full mental load. Her approach is grounded in empathy, practical clarity, and structure without pressure.
