Every year, Little Hiccups helps to fill that quiet week between Christmas and New Year with the great, big Christmas bash! And this year we had some extra special guests when the Lord Lieutenant, Ed Anderson and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Kevin Sharp, joined us to present Little Hiccups with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and is equivalent to an MBE. We are incredibly honoured that we have been presented this and very grateful to Ed and Kevin for joining us at the party so that our families can celebrate with us.
As well as the presentation above we have a full entertainment plan to keep everyone happy and entertained at the party. This party was Encanto themed and, was as always was what I like to describe as organised chaos. We had facepainters, balloon modellers, Encanto style entertainment, and even Santa and his elves stayed back from returning to the North Pole to ensure all our guests had a present to take home with them. A huge thank you to Disney Store, Argos Crown Point and Costco who all helped Santa and the elves source the gifts.
Another huge thank you as well to The Royal Armouries – who as always, have hosted the party for us and make sure we are all fed. We’ve had lots of positive feedback about the food as well this year – so it looks like you all liked the change!
We’ve a lot more fun and activities planned in 2023 and are continuing to explore our mottos of #NoLimits and #MakingMemories. We’re looking forward to a fantastic 2023 with you all!
