Last week, Turner & Townsend in Leeds kick started the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and bank holiday weekend with a much-needed summer fete including traditional fairground stalls and home bake sale; all in the name of charity.
They went above and beyond their targets and all funds raised from the afternoon went to charity including their national fundraising partner@actionforchildrenuk as well as local charities @simononstreets, Community Links and of course, Little Hiccups!
Turner & Townsend is an independent professional services company specialising in programme management, project management, cost and commercial management and advisory, helping to deliver transformational programmes across the real estate, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.
Megan Hartshorne, who approached Little Hiccups with the offer to fundraise for us says “we chose Little Hiccups as we truly felt that they resonated with our core values to Make A Difference, Bring Out the Best in Everyone, and being Stronger Together. With Little Hiccups being a Leeds based organisation, we really wanted to use this event of celebration to give back to local communities around us. We recognise the hard work and dedication by the Little Hiccups team, and we are grateful for the work they do to support families who need them and we’re proud to support that mission.“
And those that know us, do know that we truly live by the #NoLimits and #MakingMemories hashtags. It sounds like a match made in heaven!
Turner & Townsend managed to raise over £800 in total which will be split between the four charities – which is just brilliant. It will go towards supporting the Little Hiccups families, for which we are incredibly grateful.
Thank you for all involved on the day!
