Hello I am Susan but I go by Suzie most of the time.

I am a mother of 2 little boys both are autistic, ADHD and Hypermobile.

I was not a stranger to the SEND world but from the point a view as a childcare worker and as a SEND child myself. I was diagnosed with dyslexia and dyspraxia and spend half my school life in main stream school specialist bases. I have also been a nursery nurse, Childminder and nanny. My whole life I have been in or around the childcare world. My mother was also a childminder and the NCMA now known as PACEY while I was growing up and now my family run a nursery on domestic’s premises. So I feel I will always have childcare in my life.

Now I am seeing the SEND world from and parents stand point. I have found it so hard even with what I know from the practitioners side, the fight and hoops that the system makes you as a parent care and the children through is so hard and feels never ending.  I have found myself sharing what I know with most parents I can share with anything to make it easier for them.

I stated attending little hiccups in 2019. My boys and I have enjoyed every time I have been to stay and play and events. We have also made some lovely friends.  I feel that now I have managed to get both my boys in the right educational setting I want to help others and what better way to do it then share what I know with others.
