We try to visit Stockeld Adventure Park every couple of years, and each time we are more impressed. This time, as well as new playgrounds for the children to enjoy, they had managed to make the park much more accessible. Much more of the park was paved than before including the maze and the main pathways around the Woodland Trail. I’ve been told there is a train coming as well which will go around the park and will be fully accessible to wheelchairs also.
When we visited this time, the sun was shining – which I am very glad about as the day before had been torrential rain. But it was a Bank Holiday Monday so probably to be expected! We managed to stay a good 4 hours and could probably have stayed longer. There was so much to do and see and every playground had to at least have a little play. We also had fun doing the Egg Trail (which were fantastic!) and solving the puzzle to claim the chocolate prize at the end.
The kids had a great time and literally didn’t stop all day. They bounced, swung, ran, skipped, climbed and just generally had a brilliant day. Thank you Stockeld!
What our families say:
“Thank you Little Hiccups for organising today. We had a fab day and managed to get round everything without an ask to go home early with a little management of energy levels. I think K went on every slide possible. If you saw an over sized child going on slides and wondered whether he was going to get stuck …. That was K. I had visions of pulling him out of the tube slides!”
“Thanks Little Hiccups for a lovely time today. E especially enjoyed the sensory music equipment in the Enchanted Forest.”
“Thank you. We had an eggcellent time!”
