Leeds Uni Women’s Ruby Union organised #FitFeb where they posted challenges everyday in Feb to motivate everyone to get fit in Feb and raise funds for Little Hiccups at the same time.
Challenges consisted of doing 10 minutes of sprinting intervals, design and complete an obstacle course and hold a plank for as long as possible. And doing a task like this, the team managed to raise a wonderful £260 for Little Hiccups.
At our charity social on Wednesday for International Women’s Day they also raised £447 for Leeds Women’s Aid, a charity helping to protect women and children from domestic violence and abuse.
Greena Nelson, the social media secretary who got in touch with Little Hiccups to let us know of this fantastic idea says, “It was amazing to raise money for such a great charity. We hope the money can really help out the charity and help support families of disabled children.”
Little Hiccups are overjoyed with the amount of work that the team have put in to raise funds for us and hope that nobody is too sore after #FitFeb! Thank you!
