Pure Imagination! A Look Back at our Willy Wonka Christmas Extravaganza

Well, we did it! We survived the snozzberries, the chocolate rivers, and the Golden Ticket excitement. Yesterday, the Royal Armouries was transformed into a world of pure imagination for the Little Hiccups Willy Wonka Chocolate Christmas Party, and wow—what a day it was!

If you were there, you’ll know it was “Little Hiccups Manic” in the best possible way. The room had Oompa Loompas, festive jumpers, and enough bubbles and glitter to power a glass elevator!

A World of Entertainment

A huge thank you to the incredible Susie Sparkles, who worked her usual magic keeping the children (and let’s be honest, the grown-ups) entertained. Between the music and the laughter, the energy was through the roof!

The talent didn’t stop there. Face Painting by Claire and her team were back by popular demand creating pieces of art on faces and with balloons, and as always, their work was breathtaking. We saw some truly spectacular transformations—from winter flowers to sweet-themed masterpieces.

We also loved having CC5 Visuals and their Selfie Pod PhotoBooth this year. It was so much fun seeing everyone strike a pose and capture those silly, heart-warming moments that make our community so special. And of course, the room looked absolutely stunning thanks to the vibrant displays from Rothwell Balloons.

A Very Special Guest 🎅

We knew the “Willy Wonka” theme was exciting, but there was one person everyone was waiting for. Even with his busiest night of the year just behind him, Santa himself made a special appearance!

It was a joy to see the children’s faces as they received their gifts. A massive thank you to our families for being so organised with the booking options—it really helped Santa’s elves get everything just right for your little ones.

To see our families coming together in an accessible, inclusive space like the Royal Armouries reminds us exactly why we do what we do. Whether you came for the brownie treats, the dancing, or just the chance to use the Changing Places facilities without stress—we are so glad you joined us.
