Hello, my name is Arzoo and I’ve recently been using Little Hiccups for my younger sibling. Quratulain is my sister who has been diagnosed with a condition called Joubert Syndrome, alongside this comes other conditions which affect her learning and mobility.
It’s been quite a long journey since she was born but each and every step has been a positive contribution as she is a cheerful, healthy and happy young girl.
A little bit about me, I’m one of the 5 siblings in my family. I’m taking a Nursing course in university and in particular am concentrating on caring for children. By offering my support I can use all the skills I gain from this experience to add to my own.
I’ve joined Little Hiccups as I want to support families as having a child/sibling with additional and special needs can be challenging. It often does get lonely and become harder to have a family fun day out.
On top of English I know British Sign Language (intermediate) and speak Pothwari (fluent) which is my home language. I’d love to gain new knowledge as well as share my own.
I am looking forward to see what events Little Hiccups has in store and I am looking forward to meeting all the families!
