Get a bunch of Hiccups parents together, throw in some alcohol and paint and you get a good night out!
The pottery event that Little Hiccups hosted in January for the Hiccups children had received a lot of queries from parents asking if they could also paint at that event. There wasn’t the resources then but it because of that we decided to host a pottery painting party just for the parents.
So back in touch we got with the owners and one Thursday evening following this, we arrived at The Little Biscuit Pottery Painting Studio in Morley and were greeted with snacks and a glass of prosecco on arrival.
We had the whole shop to ourselves and could select from a wide range of items to paint. It was really hard to choose to be honest! I eventually settled on a plant pot as that is my new obsession and we all like a bit of functionality to the fun (or that may be just me…!)
And I have to say, that there are some hidden talents amongst some of our parents. Some of the painting that came out of the event was pretty impressive! I can’t wait to see the end result when the pots are glazed and ready for us to pick up.
The discussion was also fun. After a few glasses, we got chatting about our next parent event and some of the suggestions were rollerskating disco and clairvoyant night. So who is in for these? I’m particularly keen to see us all in rollerskates! Look out for this one…
So thank you again for having us Gillian and Allison and we’ll hopefully see you soon!
What our parents say:
“What a laugh we had.“
“Brilliant night thank you little hiccups“
